SAN FRANCISCO – August 6, 2020 – Chorus.ai, the No. 1 Conversation Intelligence Platform for high growth Revenue teams, today announced Thiago Sá Freire has joined the company as Chief Revenue Officer. Sá Freire joins Chorus with experience from Hudl, where he served as Senior Vice President of Global Sales & Customer Success. He has committed his career to sales and relationship excellence and has proven expertise in SaaS revenue operations. He joins the market-leading organization on the heels of a $45M Series C raise and being named a Top 100 Global Software Company and Top 50 Fastest Growing Product by G2. Chorus transforms how Revenue organizations analyze and use their business conversations to drive team performance, build stronger relationships, provide revenue intelligence, and acquire unbiased market intelligence.

“Thiago, like myself, is joining Chorus after experiencing the platform first-hand as a customer. His expertise in scaling large organizations is critical as we invest our recent funding to further build our go-to-market team and accelerate our enterprise services,” said Jim Benton, CEO of Chorus.ai. “Having tripled revenue growth in 2019, Thiago is joining at a momentous time in our company’s history and will play a key role in elevating the voice of the customer inside Chorus and delivering the power of Conversation Intelligence to Revenue organizations worldwide.”

Benton and Sá Freire first met during a Daily Briefing webcast where they discussed Chorus’ insights on a trend of executive leadership participating more frequently in sales calls. The data showed, at the start of Q2 2020, sales leaders joined 50% more calls than before COVID-19 began and traditional 30-day payment terms dropped to just 61% of the time (almost 10 points lower than the same week last year.)

Benton and Sá Freire quickly aligned on their customer-centric and people-first leadership style.

“I am thrilled to bring on a leader of Thiago’s caliber that both cares deeply about the success of our customers and team,” said Benton. “His guiding principle is to create a foundation that enables his people to be the best version of themselves. His leadership and dedication is one that will take us to new heights as he delivers strong results for employees, customers, and investors.”

“Experiencing Chorus’ unwavering commitment to servicing clients while a customer made the decision to join an easy one. Once we started using Chorus, we couldn’t imagine working without it,” said Sá Freire. “Then, I had the opportunity to intimately get to know the company and the team as part of their Customer Advisory Board. Through this experience, I learned that the company cares and acts on customer feedback. Customer-centricity and building structures that enable customer-desired outcomes has always been a priority of mine. I’m excited to drive massive growth at Chorus through a culture of customer obsession.”
